At Jertie's Kitchen, we care about you. And food. Yes, we love to eat. And just because we have omitted several items from our lifestyle, whether by choice or because of health reasons, does not mean that we can't enjoy our food. And we want the same for you.

WHO WE ARE
Jertie has always loved cooking and eating. Family and friends always look forward to her cooking because it's always packed with natural flavors.
Jertie is gluten-intolerant and follows a gluten-free lifestyle. Through Jertie's Kitchen, she wants to bring a stronger awareness about celiac disease, gluten intolerance and the gluten-free lifestyle. Much of the lifestyle has been dismissed as a fad and she wants people to know that it's a real issue.
Her goal is to put up a completely gluten-free (and vegan) restaurant that will be completely safe for all individuals with celiac disease and gluten intolerance to frequent.
Jaclyn has always loved to eat. And, living in the Philippines, she loved her meat. A health scare in 2010 opened her eyes though and she immediately changed her diet to include more plants but did not let go of her meat. It wasn't until two years later when she started researching about plant-based diet when a book on blood type diet indicated blood type A people go vegetarian. She never followed the blood type diet but she did start following a vegetarian diet.
8 months later, in 2013, she made the complete shift from flexitarian to ovo-vegetarian to vegan. When she went vegan, that's when she noticed the health scares she had in 2010 have been reversed.
Jaclyn highly believes in the power of plants and, through Jertie's Kitchen, shares this power with her clients and students. She is a true vegetable dork and can talk about plants all day long.
